Yeah, it's all fine and well if you work on a government contracts and get your health care paid for (was breifly in the system in 1991 - General Dynamics - talk about gravy job.. 168 hours of sick leave a year - and most thought it was their god given right to use all of it.. I never called in sick a day.. Used comp time to windsurf & surf.

The biggest welfare system we have going on here in Brevard is the Military Industrial Complex at CCAFS, NASA et al..

Worked on the outside of the system as a consultant off base for decades on large to small projects and got to seen it first hand..

Not to mention seeing AF guys doing 'reviews' being prepped by LMC et al for future 'golden parachute' jobs within the fold..

Also grew up abroard in an oil producing nation and saw the foreign 'influence' and with corruption & bribing of local officials at work.. A couple US & other foreign firms were even succesfully 'prosecuted' ('guilty' verdicts).. Of course, and as expected, the 'Settlements' and 'fines' were a joke compared to what was actually stolen from the public purse.. Hence my references to Batista types who were responsible for putting Fidel into power, and the similar ones in Venezuela who effectively put Chavez into power - by the way through open and fair elections with overwhelming margins.. Funny what happens when poor people actually get motivated to vote..

Also funny how we like to promote 'democracy' abroard - until someone we don't like gets in..

Insurance is a scam in general. It's just legalized extortion. I have so many insurance policies on so many different things. Rarely make claims if ever. Basically giving away money for nothing.

thanks for thinking for me, you guys are pretty good at that. I merely posted some information for some people that may be confused between the two. I did not give an opinion either way but thanks for assuming. Some of you are pretty defensive, feeling like every comment is directed at you or something.
