I have given up after losing 5 or 6 crotons to scale. I have determined that it no longer belongs in my yard and I will be replacing them with natives. It was fun while it lasted. I tried coffee, soap/alcohol mixture and a systemic. All worked somewhat for a while but they always came back. Any recommendations for some nice understory plants to go beneath my palm and fruit tree jungle? Please no Broms either since they are mosquito breeders.
