I have a 2002 MAKO 171 with a 115 Evinrude Etec.

Went down south to Village Marina to launch. Met Ray at the ramp. Put in at odark 30 and headed just south, past the new bridge construction. This is an area with mangrove shoreline. We are using CAL 4" shad tail, silver mullet color with red jig heads.
Ray hooks a 32" snook, beautiful. Lots of pics and released. I'm running the trolling motor just working this mangrove row. Lot of hook ups on snook in the 21-27 range. I did get one at 34" on Eight # mono with a 20# floro carbon leader. I don't keep snook. All are catch and release as far as I'm concerned.

Snook is the one of the best game fish I know. We enjoyed 4 hours on the water, with great weather. I had forgotten what a great fishery it is down here. The water was very clear and clean.

So if you are a surfer I wish you the prosperity that allows you more time to pursue the salt water dream, and the true happiness that comes from warm water, clean waves and the companionship of your fellow surfers. If you are an internet troll just spewing bs then f off.

Funny, I'm a snook release guy, too.
