Ultra left is communism, AOC is just left of center. Ultra left would be public ownership of the means of production.
She's talking about basic north European social democracy. The notion that's ultra left is a poorly informed opinion.

That said, I think the Democratic Party is essentially a fund raising organization that is afraid or unwilling to exercise power decisively to improve the lives of working people.
We need an alternative. An American Labor party maybe.

From a lawyers perspective, AOC is a very effective cross examiner. Shes direct, conscise and well prepared. Some of that can be learned and perfected but a lot of it is talent. She's talented. Newsom is essentially Matthew Mcconaughhey(sp?). Very polished. Good speaker and quick on his feet. He may be the white guy the DNC polling requires after the black woman exiled them to oblivion. AOC would balance out that ticket and the debates would be great television.
