Judge finds probable cause to hold Trump administration in contempt for violating deportation order

A federal judge on Wednesday said he has found probable cause to hold the Trump administration in criminal contempt of court for violating his orders to turn around planes carrying deportees to El Salvador.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg warned he could refer the matter for prosecution if the administration does not "purge" its contempt by voluntarily obeying his order. The administration could do so by returning to U.S. custody those who were sent to the El Salvador prison in violation of his order so that they "might avail themselves of their right to challenge their removability," Boasberg said.

If the Justice Department declines to prosecute the matter, Boasberg said he will appoint another attorney to prosecute the contempt.

"The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial orders - especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it," Boasberg wrote.

The scene is set for the Constitutional Crisis: i.e. Trump ignoring a Court Order and daring them to enforce it. So what day of Trump's presidency are we on today? I ask because he was only telling people he would be a dictator on day one and I think he's a dictator on 87th day and how many days after?

The Salvadoranians denied a sitting US senator from meeting with the recently wrongly deported Abrego Garcia.

>>El Salvador's government denied Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) a visit with Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Maryland man mistakenly deported to a notorious prison in El Salvador despite a Supreme Court opinion telling the Trump administration to facilitate his return to the United States.<<

Trump is picking this fight very loudly and publicly in Trump style, with the family members of someone murdered by a different salvadoranian that wasn't allowed to stay. As long as Trump can keep the noise and the headlines up on this, his little red hat dipshits will chase this squirrel as the deficits cause a recession and he raises the deficit with reduced taxes on the rich.

Little El Salvador is going to have some issues when a Democrat takes the White House.

So some dope on Faux Newz said that Garcia was obviously a gang member because of his hat?

"Fox News host Jesse Watters has said that 'everyone knows' the 'mistakenly' deported 'Maryland man' was a gangster because of his Chicago Bulls hat.

During Jesse Watters Primetime on Tuesday, the host claimed that the Chicago team's basketball merchandise is an MS-13 gang identifier as he questioned the idea that Kilmar Abrego Garcia was a real fan."

OK, so met me get this straight. A person can be disappeared because the distinctive hat they have been seen wearing is evidence that they are a danger to the USA.
Gotcha. Might be useful sometime in the future when we do some selections of our own.

Boasberg finds 'probable cause exists' to hold Trump administration in contempt

US District Judge James Boasberg ruled Wednesday that "probable cause exists" to hold Trump administration officials in criminal contempt for violating his orders in mid-March halting the use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members.

The long-awaited decision on Wednesday from a judge President Donald Trump and his allies have repeatedly attacked puts the administration on the path toward being punished for thwarting court orders.

"The Court ultimately determines that the Government's actions on that day demonstrate a willful disregard for its Order, sufficient for the Court to conclude that probable cause exists to find the Government in criminal contempt," Boasberg wrote. "The Court does not reach such conclusion lightly or hastily; indeed, it has given Defendants ample opportunity to rectify or explain their actions," he added. "None of their responses has been satisfactory."

"The Constitution does not tolerate willful disobedience of judicial orders - especially by officials of a coordinate branch who have sworn an oath to uphold it," Boasberg, wrote in his ruling.

"Holding federal executive branch officials in criminal contempt is just about unheard of, once in a blue moon," said Vladeck, a professor at the University of Georgetown School of Law. "Part of why Chief Judge Boasberg is moving cautiously is because he's trying to walk a tightrope, not letting the government off the hook for its misbehavior, but also not provoking pushback from either the DC Circuit or the Supreme Court."

Oh and, I see that the E. Jean Carroll $100M bill is coming due and Trump is darn near pleading that he has immunity. Even though the Supremes said that 'private' is private.

The NY fraud thing is still a whole nuther ball of smegma.

We'll wait and see.

CRIMINAL contempt!!!! This channel does not alow 'clipping' so, , , and but, the first 5 minutes fill you in.

If the Administration/DOJ does not 'purge' their contempt by April 23 the DOJ must provide the name of the individual who made the decision to willfully not halt the transfer flights!!
