Given that Trump didn't create and/or spread the virus, it seemed to us to be a bit of a stretch to blame Trump for every death. But you yahoos said he was to blame by virtue of being president. Friend of mine caught it at Dunedin Brewery. She is a personal trainer. She was hospitalized and may not able to return to work until March at the earliest. You said it was nothing. She assumed her fitness and alternative medicine and superfoods made her invulnerable. Almost killed her. Trump gagging the CDC and actively promoting the spread bares some responsibility in cases like this.

I didn't say it was nothing. I said that the risk wasn't great enough for me to worry about it. I also said that most people under 65 didn't have much to worry about either. And I said that it was going to play out as it would and there was nothing we could do about it, short of getting a vaccine. For that reason, I said lockdowns were dumb and would do no good. That, in a nutshell, is what I said.

Lying sack of shit talking out of both sides of your mouth as usual. You did always say there was nothing we could do about it. But you and the rest of the GOP made it that way by blocking all effective control measures. Widespread mask use and strategic targeted lockdowns with central government support to compensate those people that are subject to the regulatory taking that is a mandatory furlough or quarantine are both effective at keeping the viral spread slow or stopped and just to those put out of work. Every competent epidemiologist and economist agree on that strategy but Trump would not have it. He favored magic disaappearance, injecting industrial disinfectants, etc...

What I said is all here in black and white, Scombrid. I assure you that I did not block effective control measures, because there were no effective control measures until the vaccines came out. All the things that you claim were blocked by me and my compatriots were tried in various places and none of those places faired any better than those who did none of it. None of those things made a bit of difference, which is exactly what I said. Further, epidemiologists and economists were fighting like cats and dogs over what we should do. Not sure how you got that they all agreed on a course of action. They certainly did not.
