John Tobia does not care what we think. He is an ideologue with an agenda. And, if you look at the Comm district map, you will see that not one of the Commissioners has a majority-beachside district. By far, the largest segment of each district is mainland and Tobia's is Palm Bay. The only solution is to change the Commissioners. Appeals do not work. We tried that with beach reopenings, etc this past spring. The beachside communities UNANIMOUSLy opposed their early reopening and yet, the Commissioners reopened them. We also UNANIMOUSLY opposed the reorganization of the EOC, and lost that one too. Perhaps this would be better posted in the NSR section, but, your vote counts and having the same commissioners will mean a continuation of their policies which work against the beachside communities.

(making it easy/ cut and paste and email John.Tobia@brevardfl.gov)..."I am strongly against changing the existing zoning laws for short term rentals. This change should not be allowed as we have numerous issues with short term rentals and the renters. Problems include: Police calls every weekend, parking overflowing onto streets, 20+ guests in one house at a time. They trash our neighborhoods and beaches and do not care about offending the properties around them. There are numerous police reports on file from battery to noise ordinances and felonies that occur at these Vacation Rentals. If the law is changed, every commissioner will be voted out by unhappy residents who do not want these problems in their neighborhood. The zoning should remain unchanged. Thank you, A concerned VOTER"

PM response: "Hi Surfermic, The meeting that you are referring to is the Local Planning Agency Board. They make recommendations to the BOCC but are not the final say. This item won't come back before the BOCC until December (not sure of the exact date yet). You are definitely not too late and you can definitely email all the commissioners with your opinion on the matter. I know our office (District Five Commissioner Kristine Isnardi) is open to all the feedback on this matter. I know situations like the one we are hearing about here in this post only strengthens the Commissioner's concerns about this item.".........So it's not too late and it appears Kristine Isnard is listening..if anything please email at least Kristine Isnard at D5.commissioner@brevardfl.gov, if you can please send the same email to D1.commissioner@brevardfl.gov, D2.commissioner@brevardfl.gov, D3.commissioner@brevardfl.gov, D4.commissioner@brevardfl.gov
I know it's a pain but please help!
