Great wave pools all over the world now. Will Florida ever get a good one?

Munich has a great artificial wave in a stream that emerges from a tunnel/culvert at the Englische Garten park. Winter standing-wave surfing's been popular for quite a while. So the city's a natural for a wave pool. Blair Conklin doing a demo, all the better. Brad Domke should follow.
I have no idea what's the matter with Florida, other than high interest rates. I think the Myrtle Beach wave park may have died, but one in Atlantic Park in Virginia Beach seems to be progressing. That city seems to be what Daytona Beach would aspire to be. But they draw on visitors from relatively wealthy north Virginia.
