damn, 6 foot 14 seconds. A little bigger than what the virtual buoys were showing. Cams look pretty good. High tide in the morning.

.MARINE...

Today-Tonight...A Small Craft Advisory is now in effect for all
local waters as swells have increased early this morning. Latest
buoy obs show 7FT at Buoy 41009, 9FT at Buoy 41010, with a dominant
period of 12-14 seconds. Right along the coast swells are 4-5FT.
This large swell has come at a surprise to the model guidance, which
continues to show no indication of elevated seas even though latest
obs are well over 7FT now.

The SCA goes out through late afternoon, and small craft likely need
to exercise caution tonight as seas linger 4-6FT, and the swell
period remains at 12-13 seconds. Light/variable around 5KT through
tonight. A coastal trough moving from Southeast FL into the Treasure
Coast will produce scattered afternoon showers south of Sebastian
Inlet. As the trough shifts offshore this evening, expect shower
activity to focus across most of the local waters tonight.

Thursday-Saturday...Periodically poor boating conditions expected.
Winds Thursday will be vary between westerly and northwesterly 10 to
15 knots, occasionally 20 knot. Seas will still be in a downward
trend, with 4 to 6 seas still subsiding in the Treasure Coast
waters. Winds then veer to northerly Friday, with seas in the Gulf
Stream building to 6 feet in response to the opposing flow. Wind
continue to veer to northeasterly then easterly 15 to 20 knots
Saturday, with seas subsiding back to 3 to 5 feet. Generally dry,
with only a 20 percent chance of showers.

So for those in palm beach county, it was the brass ring of burgers. Surfed Pam beach after surfing coral cove early. I can count all the waves I caught in each session on one hand.

Much smaller and not as glassy as yesterday but still fun for a brief DP before work. Tide go on it fast though. No complaints, but I will be busting out the full suit for the next session, it's getting cold (using the Florida warm water wimp temp measurement standard).

Looks like there may be something possibly coming our way in the not too distant future.. Pray for some favorable local winds..

Islands look like they are getting ready for another series of N swells also - one after the other.. Get your tickets ready..
