I camped in Frisco ages ago and loved it. We got lucky with south swells so it was really fun but it's a short-trip to the lighthouse and east facing beaches if you need to. It can take a bit longer but going the ferry route (if they still run) is a cool experience if you've never done that before. When are you thinking of going? I've also rented a house there in the off-season (winter) and it was ridiculously cheap. Massive house and it was something like ~$400 for a whole week. I used to camp there a lot. Take some advice from your old Uncle Slimy. Make your camp on the east side of the trees in the Summer Spring and Fall. It gets hotter than ten thousand hells at times.
