But to comment....1000ft is pretty far out for a surf break in Fla, except on good days. I would think the reefs are providing refuge for some wildlife but not much surf. Lets also not confuse this with the Brevard Count Mid-Reach Shore Protection Project....dumping dredged sand on perfectly good coquina reef is definitely not good.
