And had a ball. Sometimes small waves on a log are a blast. Like today.

A starving man sees a loaf of bread as a feast.

Summer in Florida.

The art of doing more with less. We are all gulf coasters today.

It's remarkable how a clean one foot wave can provide that much entertainment. Surfline said it was flat. I thing that kept the crowd down.

My girl has a 6' catchsurf. It's a thruster and pretty fun in the tiny stuff. Floaty and fairly quick.

I find them terrifying in big waves.

Gotta have a log in FL! These days if it's not hollow I'd prefer 2-3ft and offshore for the log over 4-6 chop slop on the shorty.

Ok, I'll bite. I'm only 36. Spent my entire close-minded youth groveling in FL on the same board's guys were riding on the CT. It wasn't until I moved to HI of all places that I learned to appreciate a log, amongst a variety of other boards, twins, single fins, quads, etc... Different boards for different waves. FL is home to some of the worst surf in the world. Gotta have the right tools to take advantage of all conditions. My personal opinion is that if it's big enough for a leash, it's big enough to get off the log. In all reality just ride whatever the hell makes you have the most fun... just as long as it's not a foil

I swapped my log out for a fat, stubby twin-fin retro on small days. I can sit with the logs and catch as many waves. To each their own, but I need to be much more decrepit before I go full time log.

my go to board for the last year has been an 8ft softtop. I surf 2 very crowded inlets and hate the leash, so this helps if I lose it to not take out a 6 year old

If I can get speed down the line, it's the shorty but I do own three longboards and use them when required.
