Pence had a gift for being able to never answer a question directly. He had a verbal judo that if you asked what 2 plus 2 equals you would get the straight version of Anderson Cooper describing the joys of math. Vance is pretty polished and he's quick on his feet but he epitomizes the expression that before you can be their equals, you must be their servant. His high profile conversion from never trump to Trump's VP is his soul's journey from carefree honesty to calculated message discipline. Maybe he will shed the red hat once Trump strokes out and act his age (homey to Clown got all the way to the top before he popped the President with his patented "I don't think so, Homey don't play that."). One can hope.
