Why all the whining?

Bloomberg

'The U.S. economy is growing at a pace not seen in decades, with economic forecasters surveyed by Bloomberg expecting real gross domestic product growth of 5.7% this year and 4% in 2022. Eighteen months into the post-pandemic economic recovery, nonfarm payroll employment grew by an impressive 531,000 in October and is up by an average of 655,500 over the past six months. The unemployment rate is down to 4.6%, and wages have been rising briskly. Oh, and the Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 37% over the 12 months ending Nov. 3, its best performance ever in the year following the election of a new president.'

Thanks Joe!

Everyone is doing fine, while complaining about the Biden economy. It's a hell of a thing when the right wing media convinces 35% of the population that up is down.

Private-sector job growth ramps up in November with 534,000 positions added, ADP says

And inflation is at its highest rate since 1990. My stocks are doing well and I am reaping some benefits, but Rapid economic growth tends to lead to hyperinflation and in the long wrong is not a good thing. A crash is Likely coming. Slow and steady is better.

"Inflation" is doing wonders for the corporate world.

It's beginning to look like a case of we pay more, they make more.

Yeah and what's interesting, if you really look closely, the price inflation is heavily leaning towards the "cheap shit" that is primarily bought by middle - lower middle class folks. E.G., look at BJs grocery store: the price of packaged low end food, up 50% year over year, the price of cheap ground beef or chicken up 40% year over year, but the price of a box of fancy glass bottled pellegrino water OR at Publix the price of fancy greenwise free range meats, well not that much higher than it was before... Maybe it really is the "free market" and economics at work with the restraints on supply causing the supply/demand curve to shift up the pricing as to actually reduce demand so to avoid shortages, but I dunno something just doesn't seem right! Only time will tell is Mr Powell right "transitory"???

Look who's talking, there was nothing really negative in my post I said my stocks are doing well, and if you know anything about economics rapid economic growth is not sustainable over a long period of time that's a fact, talk about never happy, finding negativity where there is none just a whine about it. The smart man plays the ups and downs of the economy and doesn't put all those eggs in one basket.

Yeah - look who IS talking - I'm supoer happy. Qotards are miserable not matter what - miserable when their 'guy' was in office and miserable now.

Yes - we know we want to temper growth, it's exactly why the Fed pulled back on QE about a month ago. Money has velocity and this will slow it down a little bit.

From NYT

(Context: This was a follow-up to the Virgina governor's McAuliffe/Youngkin race)

A Pollster's Warning to Democrats: 'We Have a Problem'

Q: So if you're advising a Democratic client running in 2022, what do you tell them?

A: I would tell them that we have a problem. We've got a national branding problem that is probably deeper than a lot of people suspect. Our party thinks maybe some things we're saying aren't cutting through, but I think it's much deeper than that.

Q: What is that branding problem, in a nutshell?

A: People think we're more focused on social issues than the economy - and the economy is the No. 1 issue right now.

...

Q: What drives this perception that Democrats are fixated on cultural issues?

A: We probably haven't been as focused on the economy as we should be. I think some of that is voters reading us talking about things that aren't economic issues. Part of it is just a natural reaction, too: We're in an economy they feel is tough. It's hard for them to think we've solved problems when they see so many.

Q: How do Democrats balance a commitment to core constituencies while at the same time addressing economic issues that voters are confronting every day?

A: The No. 1 issue for women right now is the economy, and the No. 1 issue for Black voters is the economy, and the No. 1 issue for Latino voters is the economy. I'm not advocating for us ignoring social issues, but when we think broadly about voters, they actually all want us talking about the economy and doing things to help them out economically.

...

Q: One of the things you also said in the memo was that McAuliffe's strategy of linking Youngkin to former President Donald Trump was ineffective. What in the conversations with your groups made that clear?

A: The respondents kind of laughed at that approach. They said, "Oh, these silly ads that compared Youngkin to Trump - he just doesn't seem like that guy." The thing that these people disliked about Trump was that they didn't like Donald Trump the person; it wasn't Donald Trump the constellation of policies. That may very well have been the best message that McAuliffe had, but if we are in that position again, we're going to lose a ton of races. We've got to have something better.

Conclusion: It's not booming for everyone.

Hey baloney you dumb bitch latest jobless claims at 220k with estimates at 240k. Is that on topic enough you third grade reject?

Now back to you and the rest of you qotard fucks. Y'all got some qotard data you can share to refute this or just some meaningless anecdotal whining from doing your shit jobs? You no surfing geezers are losing the few marbles you got left.

To Curtis' point it's a lot about the candidate. I'm not convinced the VA democrat in the suit motivated anyone. To think that particular piece of the confederacy has moved that far from Qrumpism to guarantee a democrat winning is folly. And yes Qrump wasn't running. But QOP dbags will nominate him in 2024 and he will lose again.

Yes, you said it was too hot, but I never recall you complaining when Trump pushed through a massive tax cut stimulus in a good economy. I also don't recall you celebrating the seven years of continuous growth under Obama.
