What happens today has no bearing on three years from now.

He still has a shitload to contend with and a lot can go wrong, especially when the Biden economy is chugging along nicely.

Hopefully, inflation will give my Social Security check a nice cost-of-living increase.

The model is keep bringing people until what happens exactly? Oh we become like California 'cept less edumacated and lots more polluted.

It's going to be great getting all these people here! Home values skyrocket so the cracker children will have where to live? Oh and since the newcomers don't pay taxes the state stays poor, the roads stay congested, the environment gets trashed. Yeah this is good.

The other good thing is that the most populous states go liberal sooner or later. Bonus!!

Make sure that as the populations explodes, we don't hurt the "job creators" by making them pay any impact fees to handle the increased demand on infrastructure.

Give it 5 years and this is going to be south Jersey. And some "locals" are all for it.

It will be interesting to see how the new residents vote. Most of the people who relocated up to this point, who got here and spent the rest of their lives talking about how they use to do it up in Joisey, were coming here for the weather.

The people fleeing now are basically economic refugees. It will be interesting to see if they learn from the mistakes of others or if they decide to keep voting for the same ideas that made where they left unlivable.

Told you progs several months ago that you needed to rein in your red state progs, lest people from those states flood Florida. You didn't, and elected a senile fool to boot, and this is what you get. There is usually a price to pay for stupidity.

Desantis gave Fox an exclusive to his recent bill signing. He blocked out all other media outlets. Sounds like he's running for President all right.

Don't think there is any mystery about that. Saw the progs became outraged about the Fox thing. That's a good sign.

At least Desantis is allowing Fox to cover it. Biden isn't allowing anyone to cover his failures at the border.

Wait until Desantis is President and he prevents the press from reporting on a topic. You fools are going to lose your damn minds.

They lost their mind about signing this bill on Fox. If he becomes president, they will pull the same things they did with Trump. They think they have a template for deposing GOP presidents. DeSantis will immediately become worse than Hitler and even the most evil person ever, Trump.

The Pugs have gone public with their rejection of democracy. They are going to try and rig the game in broad daylight while the Dems flounder. We'll see if the people prefer democratic government, or if they will tolerate red, white, and blue fascism.

"Wait until Desantis is President and he prevents the press from reporting on a topic. You fools are going to lose your damn minds." - Trump called the press the "enemy of the people" and you lapped it up like a good dog.

Trump's Legacy: Voters Who Reject Democracy and Any Politics but Their Own

For these [trump] voters, the lack of allegiance to small "d" democratic values seemed to stem, in part, from the shift among many Republicans to imbibing information from sources that offer propaganda rather than news and facts. The share of Republicans who trust the mass media has plunged in the Trump years to 10 percent, according to Gallup. A majority of Republicans believe Mr. Trump was robbed of the election.

Mr. Hoyt praised The Epoch Times, a leading purveyor of right-wing misinformation, because "they just give you the facts of what's happening." For Ms. Grossi, One America News Network, the far-right channel that spreads conspiracy theories, is the only information source she trusts. She also follows QAnon, the baseless conspiracy movement that links top Democrats to child sex trafficking.

But she is also fed up with most elected Republicans. "All of them were anti-Trump - except for the American public," she said.

[Regarding GA Senate elections] "If they were legitimate Democrats it wouldn't be a problem, but they're not legitimate," he said. Parroting comments that Mr. Trump made at a rally in Georgia on the eve of the election, he added: "Warnock is a Marxist and Ossoff is a communist, as far as I'm concerned. Might as well let the Chinese take over the country the way things are going.''

WHAAAA??? You mean to tell me that four years of the dossier, RUSSIA!!!, Jussie Smullet, "nooses" in Nascar garages, the Covington High School kids, Anonymous bombshells from "high level" White House insiders who turn out to be a dog groomer or something, reporting that Melania had violated visa status because they aren't good with calendars, reported that Trump removed the bust of MLK from the oval office, fabricating quotes to use in impeachment trials, telling the American people that Trump called fallen soldiers suckers, etc. that the people trust them less???!!!! Have you told anyone about this?

After people watched the legacy media collude with social media to suppress true stories that did damage to Democrats what at the same time making up story after story that benefited them, you think people are going to trust them LESS??? All I can say is that I am shocked.

You mean Trump wasn't nice to the press after most of them accused him of being a Russian spy when most of them knew it wasn't true? How dare he! The press' treatment of Trump showed the majority of the country what they really are. They couldn't help but show who they really are. Obama was treated infinitely fairer by Fox News than Trump was ever treated by any of the other networks that killed journalism in this country.

The United States won't even tolerate real investigative journalism anymore. That will get you canceled or maybe even thrown in jail if what you have to report isn't favorable to the right people.

You think the Republicans are going to "rig the game" by ensuring that only those who are legally supposed to vote are able to vote? I think you should have to vote in person unless you can give a good reason why you can't and you should have to provide ID to vote. Elections are not that complicated.

Fox is auditioning for State Sponsored news in a state where infotainment is all access and journalists are the enemy, spreading lies and trying to influence people. Desantis was given his first big chance with Fox as an early trump sycophant. Now the tail is wagging the dog. He has positioned himself as beyond Trump but still very trumpy. Trump thinks of him as a winner. He has waged war on the press and media because he doesnt like to answer questions about things he doesnt like to talk about. Fox doenst ask those questions. They are infotainment and allowed by law to exclude the facts, which they do early and often. Look at the war Desantis fights with the free press he swore an oath to defend. Look at how this war enlists the likes of the so called conservatives. Look at how they become bean counters for every sin, mistake, and retraction of actual journalists while giving Faux a blanket pardon for their sins, mistakes and retractions, if ever. The foxsplainers like to say that everyone does it, but they dont have a problem with everyone being denied access. See this for what it is, the war of infotainment over journalism. the privilege of power to avoid answering tough questions in favor of flag waving and glamour shots of the hottie wife and kids. Faux viewers dont ask more, its all they need to be infotained.

You are more concerned about Desantis only being broadcasts on one network than you are about Biden completely shutting the press out of reporting or broadcasting any images of the kids in cages and the crisis at the border?

False equivalent. Biden didn't exclude fox from it or only allow one network to cover his official position it.

What about it? You want me to criticize them for being pretty much the only network out there that said they would wait and see the evidence before running wild with all the stories I mentioned in my earlier post? Why would I apologize for that? The news sources you trust most have fed you an insurmountable amount of bullshit over the past 4-5 years and you are still mad at Fox? Sounds like an issue that requires a psychological evaluation. You guys sound like the woman with the black eye and bloody face standing outside the trailer, whose had the shit beaten out of her, yelling "BUT I LOOOOOVE HIM" as the cops take your man away in the squad car.

No, we are going by the fact that Fox was - before newmax and OAN - the least trusted news source in the United States. So much so that they are deemed entertainment and not news. lol

They are called those things by the same people who guzzled lie after lie after lie from the other networks because they didn't go along with parroting the lies. You are the sheepiest of sheep. The most tribal of the tribal. Cole, if you are going to be as stupid as you seem to be then you really need to start paying attention to someone who isn't going to lie to you all the time because you will buy every single one of them hook, line, and sinker.

I don't really watch a ton of TV in general and don't have any shows that I watch every week.

Which "news" sources would you recommend that didn't run wild with the RUSSIA!!! bullshit? Which one didn't jump to conclusions with the Smullet lies or the "nooses" at Nascar event that was even too f'ing stupid to be a Scooby Doo episode but you still had to go along for the ride because it's what you do? Which one, Cole?

Good idea. Find out where he gets his info and avoid them like the plague. Apparently, he watches Fox a lot. He sure comments on what is going on there enough.

The Smullet story and the nooses at Nascar story both read like rejected episodes of Scooby Doo that most 3-year olds could have seen through. Although, I'm really glad these stories were released to shine a light on who the dumbest people among us are.

I find it funny that you are focusing on those two issues instead of the absolute fact that FOX misrepresented conspiracy theory as news, played their part in convincing masses of conservatives that the election was stolen, actively stoke hate and racial tension, and in the past decade has 'printed' more retractions and corrections than actual legitimate news.

You probably shouldn't call other people tribal or sheep without taking a long hard look in the mirror first. You could use some shears.

If you watch CNN or FOX only, then you are going to be extremely biased from what you are constantly bombarded by. If you watch OAN, Newsmax, or Tucker on FOX, then you are a fucking misled idiot. If you go to multiple legitimate sources for information and different viewpoints, then everything I just posted would be known to you. It isn't judging by your posts.

If Fox claimed that the election was stolen, that is a feather in their cap. Glad they are reporting the truth. Need someone in the press to do that these days.

You don't think it is interesting that they are only sampling the month of September and they share ZERO information regarding any specific statements that contributed to their numbers? They could have pulled those numbers out of thin air.

Also, Time Magazine bragged about the 'cabal of powerful people' who worked behind the scenes to create a scenario much more favorable to Democrats in 2020. They bragged about what they did.

Add this with legacy/bullshit media colluding with social media to suppress true stories that would have influenced how people voted in our election and, while "stolen" seems maybe a bit exaggerated, it doesn't exactly seem all that fair either.

Rudy Guilliani and Sydney Powell, the two lawyers charged with releasing the crackhead, both admitted under oath in legal proceedings that they had NO EVIDENCE of any of the bullshit that they were saying on Fox every night during the the days after the refusal to concede. They were arguing as pundits in the court of public opinion, not lawyers in federal court with rules. They admitted they had nothing and Powell even argued no could possibly take her seriously, but Fox did and did so often. Same with Rudy. Now if they are all full of shit, I get throwing out the baby with the bath water, but you said Fox wisely waited to see and gained your trust. More Bullshit.

Speaking of Desantis, you can read his Anti-Obama Birther anti-media book he wrote in 2011, at least the free 'Look Inside' portion. Agree or disagree, it is an interesting read.

btw, it is difficult to read desantis book talking about the framers of the constitution and how Obama wanted to change it all while he still supports Trump's Insurrection against it.

Hopefully people read his book. There is some great American History in. I like how he idolizes Alexander Hamilton and James Madison. Rightfully so. I bet he loved the Broadway show Hamilton.

It's funny how he bashes Obama on not knowing the founding fathers, yet Obama holds a Ph'd on U.S. Constitutional Law.

I think Desantis has a great chance of Florida Gov reelection, but he needs to distance himself from Trump if he wants my vote for 2024. Yes, our founding fathers wanted an autocrat like Trump...NOT...

This was historic. Desantis excluded our constitutionally protected free press from a press release in favor of one network not to disseminate a news worthy event to all floridians but to his supporters on his network. Thats a first. Your fine with that as retaliation for past wrongs, just not fox's? You have rationalized and justified this on the basis that your idea of the constitutionally enshrined free press has hurt Desantis' feelings or wronged him. You cite their partisan coverage and mistakes but you have given fox a near total pass. This is not state sponsored news, its literally state news. You get that right?

DeSantis did not prevent the press from saying whatever they wanted to say about his signing of the bill. So not even a hint of Constitutional issues. The bigger issue is how the corrupt press and their prog synchophants are whining like little girls. Obviously they are afraid of DeSantis.

They can write whatever they want. They were silenced because they were denied access. They have to report from a fox report, not the original source materials. They cannot ask questions of our notoriously thin skinned governor. Isn't he married to a newscaster? You like these authoritarian moves when your newly minted trump sequel does them but I'm guessing your ilk would be in full chicken little mode if a Democratic governor made one broadcaster the exclusive for state business.

They were not silenced. They bitched like hell. DeSantis is under no obligation to answer questions from the press or even deal with them. He could have signed the bill in a closet. And why on earth would I care where a dem announces whatever stupid thing that they want to announce. All the same to me.

Dopesantis's book must have been ghost written because he doesn't know shit about Madison. Madison was steadfastly against the big government bullshit Desantis is orchestrating right now.

He's just another fraud.
