Yeah, and I am sure some of that is the political wind. The view on SS may have been relevant back in the 80's/90s', but now we have an aging population and big voting bloc that relies heavily on SS.

Yeah - but I think the $15 min wage needs more work. There are some good ideas and there are a lot of avenues to consider there. IMO now is not a great time to try and shoehorn that through. But as you mention we would not reach that until 2025, so there is that.
