Bald is beautiful, plus its so much easier to put sunscreen on. I am going bald now and I must say its a neat feeling on your pillow. Also, in your case, now is the time to get that tattoo on scalp because your hair, unlike mine, will grow back.

17th ANNUAL DOCTORS LAWYERS WEEKEND WARRIORS SURF FESTIVAL SCHEDULED FOR SEPTEMBER 18th and 19th, 2009

The 17th Annual Doctors Lawyers Weekend Warriors Surf Festival will be held at Sebastian Inlet on Friday and Saturday, September 18th and 19th, 2009. The annual festival benefits children's charities in Brevard County. This year, the festival's prime beneficiary is the Boys and Girls Clubs of Brevard.

On Friday, September 18th, Bill McMillan (contest director) will have the "practice heats" available, a rare opportunity to surf 1st Peak with just a few friends. The judging will start on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

We are also happy to announce this year the surf party will be at Café Surfinista at 222 First St. North in Downtown Cocoa Beach from 6:00 - 9:00. Dinner will be $15.00 ($10.00 for kids under 12) and we will have music and a ton of fun. (We will have a cash bar.)

You don't have to be a doctor or a lawyer, but you must be over 30 and have, or had, a job to compete.

The t-shirts and trophies are extra special this year. We hope to see you all there.

The surf forecast this weekend looks weak. 1.5foot and 9 seconds. Cancellation???????

looks like it's gonna be thigh high, maybe waist-high on sets ... mid-day low tide will help. Wind conditions look clean enough.
doubt we'll cancel for that.

Five or six of the past weekends were good to excellent. Chances are the next few will be too. I don't know the logistics but I would make an additional donation to postpone.

There isn't much downside as far as the quality of potential surf.
