I imagine trying to be relevant in the face of some real camera whores (see Nikki Haley in Jerusalem last weekend) and other T'rump sycophants greasing up their kneepads is frustrating, L'il Marco Rubio decided to dog whistle some sterotype on Dad's Day.
Mr Rubio, in a tweet to mark Father's Day on Sunday, alleged that "billions in government spending is no substitute for fatherhood", in comments that were widely derided. "Every major social problem in America can be linked to fatherlessness," the senator wrote. "Wherever involved fathers are rare, crisis is certain to follow".
The War on Drugs is a great place to start, but I thought a particularly logical counter to the dilemma he cries about would be the rise of households with two fathers. Certainly he now has a cause to champion.
