I kind of figured General Milley was smart enough not to compromise his duties and position, and this Fox article confirms that with the statements from Milley's spokesman.
The Chinese calls were done in accordance with protocol, procedures, and had oversight and note takers. Hardly a clandestine conversation although details may be classified at the SECRET level and it probably isn't well known that the generals of foreign countries talk with each other. https://www.foxnews.com/politi...calls-senate-testimony As an aside, Army Officers do not pledge to obey the president...they pledge to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Enlisted oath does include "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me". That wording isn't an oversight. Gen. Milley honored his oath.
