It just-so-happens that I will be in London the evening of April 23rd. So, I just-could-not-help-myself and bought a VIP seat for PostModern Jukebox's (PMJ) tour opening performance at The Royal Albert Hall !!!!! Oh, and, , , , I also got one for 2 nights later in Bristol!

But, and, , , , , I now know that a lady I know, Sara Niemietz, will be a 'featured performer' that night!! Sara will be a #1 Bonus, she is on the top of everybody's 'PMJ List'.

My list of 'hopefuls' to be there is; Ashley Campbell (Glen's daughter), Tatum Langley, Effie Passero and Kindle Wylde.

And now, this morning, Effie says that she will be there. I am Really Really hoping that she does Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" like she did at The Ryman in July. Her voice 'thundered' Nashville's Mother Church and the crowd stood in a roar and tears!! A lady on FB was there that night. She says that 'they' go the The Ryman 'all the time' and she has never heard anything there like Effie's voice!

Here is a YT vid of Effie doing 'Hallelujah (but not as 'full on' as she did in Nashville), followed by a YT of Sara.

Sara singing "I Will Survive"

In this, Sara sings the chorus lines and Tatum (left) and Kyndle (right) sing the rest.

I toured the outside of the Royal Albert Hall and wanted to go inside, but not enough time. It's a cool spot in London. All of london is pretty cool.

Effie confirmed last night that she will be there.

This goes along with a 'little bird' who says that PMJ will have it's absolute 'A Team' there that night and that this may be the 'biggest' show in PMJ's 10 year history!!

It's going to be so bitchin! I saw PMJ at The Ryman and now I'll see them at The RAH. I'll be 'stage center' but, only row 9. Two of the most iconic music venues in the world!

Very cool!

I've wandered by it several times, but never thought to see a show. Too exhausted from the endless hours of rambling around the city I guess.

The show is in April and tickets have been on sale since, I think, June but, it has basically been 'sold out' since August'. I got one of the very last seats in the Arena seating (center floor), Stage right isle, row 9.. And, I only really got that because it was a 'single' by itself on the isle. Last I checked there was only 'standing room' on the upper tier.

Sara confirms that she is 'Excited" to be singing at The Royal Albert Hall. She's chillin in Kathmandu right now.

Figuring on meeting up either before or after the show. I'm kinda sorta going to try to 'weasel' my way in for sound check.

And although the holes are rather small, you have to count them ALL!

So, I've got a shiny Passport and do not need a Visa to visit the UK.

But, , , , , , now there is the ETA (electronic travel authorization) which will be required beginning in January.

UK ETA

I haven't been in the Royal Albert, but it's in an area with lots of attractions. The Victoria & Albert museum (same Albert) is a real treasure house. London has something for every possible taste. CF Dave did a thorough job of visiting, but might have missed some stately houses.
One fairly easy to miss landmark is near Trafalgar Square, opposite the Horse Guards where people gather to watch the changing of the guards. The Banqueting House was built for King Charles I, who got into trouble with Parliament and was ousted in a bloody civil war by the same Puritans who had founded Massachusetts. He was beheaded on a platform outside the Banqueting House. The Puritans eventually were replaced by Charles II. The Irish Republican Army launched home-made rockets at the Prime Minister's residence/office from in front of the Banqueting House. By later standards it's not a grand building, but the ceiling inside is decorated with high-class paintings. BTW, for an incredible interior close to the Maritime Museum, go to Greenwich. A bit later than Banqueting.

Plans are coming together. Going to 'meet up' with folks around 6 PM at The Queens Arms, which is a 10 minute walk to The Hall.

I have not had much communication with fans in the UK. So far, only from people who are flying in from 'other places' to catch this show!! Two of the people that will meet at The Queens Arms aint from around them parts but, , ,.

The one lady, Christine, is going to hop over from her place in Montreal. She's in California right now and will fly into London from her place in Montreal, then hop over to Marseille/Paris from London.!! Yesterday, on Sara's Patreon page, there was a discussion about songs done by Genesis and/or Peter Gabriel. Christine said that she had seen Genesis 8 times, just in Montreal!! WTF?

And, , , , , one guy who I think lives in California around Hollywood, will be there. He does not ever post on his FB page and otherwise does not 'say' much on FB and he uses an 'old' photo. I've only seen him comment on other's posts. From other's conversations and comments, I knew that he was 'known' but, I had no idea who he was. Pretty darn cool, , , , if this is who I think he is.

And, Sara told me Wednesday that she may not be able to come out after the show because there will be 'film crews' and media there. This show at The Royal Albert Hall is going to be a really big BFD for her and Postmodern Jukebox. "don't worry, I'll be out to see you after the Bristol show, , ,".

This French lady Christine seems to be a trip!!! When I said last month that she was in LA, she was there to see the 'Fridays' play at The Mint! Sara sings and Jason 'Spicy G' Goldman plays sax. Jason arranges and produces Grammy award winning albums for Michael Buble!!!! And, she was back in LA last night to see Sara sing with 'the guys' of 'Work In Progress' at The Baked Potato! Yesterday she said that she is going back to her home in Montreal and then fly to London for the Royal show, then fly to Marseille/Paris? to hang out until the show in May in Marseile!!!!!!

Oh, and the meet up at The Queens Arms before the Royal show, , ,

The Queens Arms
