Impressive. Not sure about shark metabolism, but they seem pretty active, more so than alligators, which can just sit around like snap traps, then gorge. Not that I can make much sense of it, but sharks in the Miami area have been studied. How'd you like to have an involuntary biopsy to see how active you are?

What an incredible animal. The strength, the power, the speed; it's easy to see why they sit atop the food chain.

Blood was drawn at O-club this morning. Human subject received moderate involuntary biopsies on the hand and forearm while surfing. Welcome to Sharktember, pumpkin spice long pig is back on the menu.

50+ years ago at Monster Hole.

Very nice swell with a perfect outflow from the inlet that cut the NE chop to zero. One of the guys mentioned that the 'fish' were running 'outside' in the inlet's outgoing current.

Hmmmmm, , , , , Yep! Thems was "fish" out there! I could not make out any bait really jumping but, , , , , , that 'outside' area about 1/4+ mile out was covered with 'active' black tips. One last wave in, , , , ,!
