Pure economic ignorance there. You should realize that shareholders own the company. They own the company and, therefore, have a right to some part of the company's earnings. What you stated is saying that a business owner commits a shady practice by giving himself a piece of the business' income. The economic ignorance on the part of progs is truly astounding. I guess it shouldn't be given that ignorance is one of the characteristics of a prog. Just because you "have a right to some part of the company's earnings, doesn't mean it isn't irresponsible to take as much as you legally can. Do the math. What's left over for reinvesting, growing, and rewarding employees? Here is the biggest problem with the US economy: Greedy, elitist pigs. It's not taxes. It's not regulations. With the exception that the small businesses pay an unfair share and are subject to tougher regulations, while the Too Bigs get special treatment, which brings us back to Carrier's bribe, I mean "incentives." Pass the Grey Poop on. Edited: 12/02/2016 at 09:28 AM by 3rdworldlover |

You are wrong 3rd. I have a right to take as much profits out of my company as I want. My business, my profits. Now, that isn't to say that you rape your employees. You don't get ahead in the end doing that. But, you don't overpay them either. That will cost you in the end as well. I suspect that I am wasting my time writing this. But, I will give it a shot. I invested money in a small business last year, one in Indiatlantic that, fortunately, is doing very well. A large percentage of new, small businesses fail. Thus, I took a big risk in putting my capital into that business, as I might have lost every penny of it. I would not have done that if I had no signifiicant upside. Would have left the money in the bank. That business now has 3 employees, all of whom are getting minimum wage. Each of them will have a chance to earn more in the future. They get paid every week. But I get paid my share every month. Now let me ask you something. Who should benefit more from the success of the business? The one who started the business, hired those employees and has a substantial amount of money at risk, or the ones who have a job only because I took that risk? Would the employees have been better off if I had not taken the risk and were unemployed instead? ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

------------------------- "I remember South Africa in the late 70's, sleeping on the beach at J-bay, smoking ganja with the blacks. On weekends we'd go to the pub in East London to drink beer and fight with the Afrikaners. They liked to fight, I liked to fight. It was a good time" |
