just a couple notes: the treatment was likely filtration to get the chunks and chlorination to kill the bad bugs 11 million gallons is a lot; but, it's mostly rainwater; otherwise, it would have been processed and not discharged incoming domestic wastewater has a median nitrogen content of around 60mg/L, the wastewater dischaged was more dilute because of the rain, but using the 60mg value: 11 million gallons equates to about 1200 bags of fertilizer put in the Lagoon want to guess how much fertilizer is applied annually in Brevard? the purpose of this comparison identify the fact that emergency discharges, "shoot" , happens fertilizer, on the other hand, is voluntary, and, in most cases, unnecessary ------------------------- add a signature since I'm here in profile anyway |
