Of course, being talented, these fountains do the flames.

I should have a Flickr album later today.  The nozzle technology, and I suspect the lighting and control technology, is German.  The heritage nozzles, which were re-installed (and can easily be switched around) were made in Pennsylvania.  The new setup can handle three times as much water as the original.

The water cannon system uses compressed air, lofting 5 gallons at a time.

The Disney fountain at Epcot is a lot smaller.  To judge from video, Disney California is much bigger, but is a very different beast--to a large extent, it serves as a fuzzy projection screen.  Bellagio has amazing coordinated moving nozzles and lots of small water cannons but not Longwood's variety of nozzles or colors.  Longwood has an LED color system, red/green/blue and apparently also cyan.  They put special effort into getting gold-amber colors, a favorite of Mr. Du Pont.  Show designers are evidently playing with the colors and working on more subtle effects, including "darker" lighting.  I liked one water cannon blast where the lights were off as the water rose, then caught it coming down.

One of the really neat features of Longwood is that visitors can sit or wander around all over a huge garden and watch the whole show from the back, or a corner, or be surrounded by it.
