We have a young, 4 ft tall - Ice-cream Mango that we planted last summer and it's been doing well, until now. The tips of many/most leaves are drying and turning brown. Is this a lack of nutrients or a salt issue? Solutions? Live beachside in Indialantic. Thanks ahead of time for any help.

Mango do pretty good beachside. Does it have it good soil drainage? They don't like it flooded and prefer a dry quick draining soil. There is also a diseases that can attach mango.
Is it in full sun? Mango need full sun.

And, stop watering the mango if you do. Like you said, salt water burn is real. Once mango is established you never need to water them. Especially in this wet winter we are having. This time of year mango should stay dry. Fungi and mold are a problem in cool humid conditions.

Ice Cream mango are slow growers. 'dwarf'.

Thanks for the response. Wanted a dwarf - if it gets to 10-12 ft, as the nursery said, it will be more than big enough.
