I would think just use a very low nitrogen number. We are in spring time dry season now. I wouldn't fertilize unless you can water in good.

thanks i'm on well that's still pretty clean,it was 4 for nitrogen i deep watered it so fingers crossed

Dave - I always fertilize my tropicals and fruits in the spring and always spend about 4 hrs dragging around hoses. I keep an eye out for rain, but as you said, that is just not normal. The tropicals are heavy feeders and the fruits need their minors, so what do you do? Wait until June/July? I would love to find an alternative as it is a big, boring chore.

I don't have a sprinkler system so yes I wait until rain. I also rarely fertilize at all anymore.

The only plants I do water are the jaboticaba. I just picked about ten pounds last weekend.

Everything else, unless it is newly planted is on it's own. I'm mostly all under Live Oak canopy so that helps. Also, Mango never need anything from man to grow and produce fruit. I does help to take care of them, but Mango grows like a weed on Merritt Island.
