Hi, I have a double Montgomery palm. When I first got it one stalk was much taller than the other with a nice staggered look. Now the two have caught up and are growing together as a double, each stalk the same height and it's not as nice looking. Does anyone know how to slow growth of one stalk in a double? Maybe a zip tie on one stalk to limit nutrients? Or maybe hurricane cut one? Thanks in advance.

That's a tough one. They are separate palms and not clustering. Maybe cut off a few green fronds on the one you want to slow down. Veitchia are pretty tough palms. I've got all the different variety. They also volunteer in the yard everywhere.
