Full on Punk Rock funeral ----- Cole : Have you seen the footage of the actual funeral procession through the streets ? Amazing turn out , literally half the nation in mourning . I think they just may have sold and consumed more alcohol then in any other point in Irish history ------Shane would be proud !

Let's not forget Fairy Tale of New York, being the Christmas season and all. A holiday classic, IMO. RIP Shane.

Tuesday morning. One of my all time classics. I saw them in New Orleans decades ago and Shane was so drunk he couldn't even get out the lyrics. He got into an actual fight with band and almost caused a riot. Very short set but very on brand. I actually thought of them as Irish novelty act and had no idea they were world famous until much later. I always picture New Orleans when I hear Dirty old town. Spot on.
