Bama, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Auburn and Houston. An almost all SEC sweep.

BYU can upset Bama.
Maryland is pretty good and coming off that emotional last second win. But, yea, gators. Duke going all the way. Texas Tech great team, but beatable. Arkansas got the experience Coach Caliparti (spelling?) Razorbacks upset last game. Dunno this one. Mich State Spartans. Tennessee. Kentucky snuck in. Mich Auburn. Au heavily favored. But, don't know, they stumbled near the end. Houston has a deep team. Built for tournaments. I can see them in the Finals. However, they almost blew a big lead last game but came out on top. |

I did my sweet sixteen with the aid of the Magic 8-ball. My first question was "Will Team A beat Team B?" Then I asked, "Will Team B will beat Team A?" If it was a tie (ie, both would lose or both would win) I asked it again the same way. I only had one time in the eight games that I had to do it again and that was UF/UMd. UF won on the second go around. So my picks -
Auburn (over Mich) Miss (over Mich St) UF (over UMd) Ark (over Tex Tech) Duke (over Ariz) BYU (over Bama) Houston (over Purdue) Kent (over Tenn) It got really, really interesting picking the next round. The 8-Ball says - Auburn (over Miss) UF (over Ark) (It took SIX rounds of questions for this one! UF is going to have a tough game) BYU (over Duke) (one try, the Magic 8-ball is certain!) Houston (over Kent) In the final four, it has - UF (over Auburn) BYU (over Houston) (Remember, the Magic 8-ball does not lie) And in the finals - UF (over BYU) Yahoooooooo, go Gators! Of course, throw this all out if UF loses tonight against a very, very tough UMd. I do love March Madness. |

Both of you have BYU. I struggled with that one because they have heart but I am at a 39% success rate right now. So if you take the exact opposite of every one of my pics, you will do well. I have UF and Kentucky at the end with UF getting the ring.

Well, I have to admit - I don't have BYU, the Magic 8-ball has them. And, they have them emphatically ("There is no doubt"). It seldom lets me down, so bet big.

The Magic 8-ball let me down last night. It only got two of the four games and killed me by picking BYU thru to the championship. Tonight's another night.

And again last night. The Magic 8-Ball is exactly 50% correct. There goes my pool. Although, I still have UF as champ. Go Gators!

Pulling for Texas Tech and Houston just because they are in UCF's conference the Big 12.
Dec 31. UCF beat @Texas Tech . Then Jan 18th UCF lost to Houston 69-68. They had a last second shot that went in to beat UCF just like last night! |

I meant Duke and UF in the final with UF winning.

It's funny I was pulling for Texas Tech when they were winning and up by 10. then when the Gators made that 12-2 run in the end I was pulling for them to make the comeback.
It's great watching games when it's not your team. Can you imagine being a Texas Tech fan now. What an anti-climax for them! Duke is looking pretty unstoppable. |

Add UConn and UMd to that list. The Gators keep escaping. After UConn, I said, "Well, that's their tough one". Then came UMd, and it was "Whew, escaped again." Now, Tex Tech. These Gators are charmed and I picked them to win it all, but, man Duke looks freaking tough. |

Duke is playing perfect basketball right now. I watched most of that game. Bama crawled to within 7 but Duke ended up winning by 20.
Duke plays defense, does not turn the ball over, and all 5 can score. Then you got Cooper Flagg to deal with a walking-talking Highlight reel. Here are the current odds to win Nat Champ: Duke +105 Florida +200 Auburn +650 Houston +700 Tennessee +1500 Michigan State +2500 |

And Cooper Flagg had a somewhat off game (six for 16). They are going to be tough to beat. UF can't let them get a lead (assuming they are both in the finals) or it is over early. Their center is a game changer in the paint, too.
