Anyone surfing late this afternoon in Sat Bch around 5:30 experience some strange burping like vibrations from underwater? We got cleaned up by a rouge wave and when the dust settled, we were sitting back in the lineup during the ensuing lull when we were all like WTF?!?! It felt like vibrations coming up through our boards from under water over and over again! Someone said it was the reef shifting under us, but that makes no sense, since it was happening during a lull. In my 25yrs of surfing here, I have never experienced this before and it was downright creepy! Anybody have any insight on this?

I've heard strange beeping sounds, but never felt vibrations. That's a weird one.

It would talk a lot of Red and Black drum to vibrate a board.

Maybe another earthquake. There was one just recently offshore of Brevard.

I got blasted down underwater the other day at Spanish and heard one, that's why I thought of it. Where's scombrid, he's the fish guy on here. And just for fun: https://www.smithsonianmag.com...mating-fish-180983686/.

It almost has to be. I don't think earthquakes slip by unnoticed.

Are they doing any seismic airgun blasting for oil in our area?
