Tom announced on Facebook that he intends to retire at the end of November.

Bummer but Congrats on retirement!

He has left his mark on our sport. The man will have boards with classic shapes that work on our waves for decades to come.

Custom Flying fish and the Hawaiian are my go to for Fla waves. Tom, thanks for designing functional sticks for me and the great communication on dialing in on what dems to lay down.

I love my Nielson boards. Classic long board and rocket fish. Great boards and a nice guy. Even got the wife one as an "engagement ring" before we got married...

Tom has made untold numbers of us better surfers. Thank you Tom, we are forever indebted to you.

That's what I'm wondering. Is he taking orders till the end of Nov or is it too late? I'm the worlds biggest procrastinator (deciding what I want to order) and have been thinking about ordering for months. I hope it's not too late. Nothing motivates me to make a decision like a hard deadline. Guess I'll find out.

Is he taking Final board orders?

I hope so too, I've been contemplating ordering a fishy-type board

congratulations for so many stokes shared. I know he hasn't retired from surfing. I was out a month ago or so at dawn up by the base and he was catching waves non-stop.

Yep, he still surfs like he is 30.

I ordered a new Blunt from Noah last week at the shop.

He sold me a magic board back when I was in Florida. A 6.2 quad fish, floaty and light. I took it to California and Costa Rica and it performed amazingly in most all conditions.

It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.
