For south Ocean Beach, Surfline is plumping 59º water, 57º air. And they think a 3/2 will be fine.

When the SF Giants were looking for a location for their ballclub, they went in the winter. Candlestick was ideal IN THE WINTER, but it sucked in the summer - cold (colder than winter) and super shifty, strong winds.

Candlestick was a mess. I spent a year in suburban SF as a little four year old, don't remember much.

My folks lived north of SFO when I was in undergrad and I got to surf ocean beach a bit. Probably my most likely to be denied spot. Have surfed it in 3/2, no gloves or boots, but not recommended. Could not feel feet...
