Three serious surf fins. The Yucca fin on the left is their short blade model. The Churchill Vortex at the center is a new model, made in Malaysia. The heaviest of the three by a small margin. The wideness away from the tip results in fins touching while swimming, at least until you get accustomed to them. I think somewhat stiff for bodyboard use. The black Pod on the right is a recent slight modification to make the foot pocket near the drain a bit less tall, giving the toes a slightly better fit. Serious fin, I think as good as the Yucca. I have more similar photos.

Variegated fins. Podware introduced the marbled look to rubber fins. Yucca took up the swirly look kind of slowly. Top row, left to right, is Yucca short, Pod PF-2, Yucca long blade (Gerard color), Pod PF-3 , Pod PF-2. Bottom left to right is a Yucca long, then short, then another short.

An Everglades palm that's been in the yard for about 22 years. Caught it in great sunset light. It has a small natural range in Florida but grows easily, if slowly, in cultivation.

Plastic drink bottle with fluorescent paint, visible light and under a UV light. For a December light show.

A Satake palm from the southernmost island belonging to Japan, Iriomote, east of
Taiwan. Extremely limited distribution in the wild, widely planted.
