Power in the US is private. The power companies make their own decisions. Yes, I know the Right blames government for ditching coal, but like most things, they are wrong once again. The producers switched to natural gas because it was cheaper.

And if you say regulation is the reason, I will reply, "Do you want more toxic pollution from coal fire plants? Do you want Mercury in your fish? Do you crave a shorter lifespan?"

Big Oil knew about climate change decades ago and did all they could the bury it. Fossil fuel exhaust is one of the most dangerous things on the planet. Why do you guys want more of it?

Cole, I do not disagree with what you are saying but, fossil fuels are not going to go away. I wish we could "shut them off" but, , , , , how many nuke plants can we construct around the world in the next 5 years?

The EV 'dream' is not going to be available much longer unless and until we fucking DOUBLE our Grid with generation and distribution capacity immediately! Oh and that Four Letter 'generation' Word can only equal "fossil fuel" for the foreseeable future. Hmmmmmm.

Well, Rusty, progs have not been exactly stellar in their predictions, have they? We're already underwater.
