Every half ass local website with a second rate political forum is supposed to have at least one left wing crank. Just my luck I got stuck with you guys.

But seriously, I didn't get to anarchist (or libertarian) socialism without passing through liberalism, and I voted religiously until I finally couldn't deny to myself that no matter who won, the situation for working people was getting steadily worse, and frequently it was the Democrats that co-opt and neutralize any popular left initiatives that arise in this country.

They want the votes all right, but then shut up and follow the party line. Decisions are made by the donor class.

EDIT: And any time the Dems don't win, it's not their fault, it was because of [insert left leaning challenger du jour]

And it's not that I want to burn anything down, I just see inevitable fires in our future and hope for a rebirth of liberty, mutual aid, and solidarity among working people everywhere.
