NBA profits or, Hong Kong?
So, in the NFL it is OK to "take a knee" and disrespect The Flag but, in the NBA it is a punishable sin to speak out in support of Hong Kong? ------------------------- Dora Hates You |

China, a communist country, is depriving these U.S. businesses of their commerce to shut down their clampdown in Hong Kong. This was inevitable. This was a conflict that China waited on until the numbers were big enough to make their threat to take their money away financially severe enough to make the NBA "soft" on their political activism. They had no problems with their woke athletes speaking out against civil rights abuses domestically and police brutality. There was no downside. Business was not affected and their bottom line never suffered. This is entirely different. A communist totalitarian regime who controls all commerce is now using their power of the purse and there is no end consumer. It's just their government. The NBA will cave. China will not. A business against a government? The spine would cost too much for the NBA.
