I like him, he will make a great president.

As far as the voting public, a great number of them are all for excluding gays from basic American rights, so to them, he is the devil.

Unless a dark horse emerges in the Dem primary, then whomever the nominee happens to be will just be a sacrificial lamb. None of the Dem candidates have the goods. Neither Warren, nor Mayor Pete, are going to get enough of the black vote to get across the finish line. Biden may still try to go for it but he's done.

Mayyyybe Kamala Harris has a chance but the other candidates are all DOA. The best thing the Dems could do is let the current candidates beat each other up for a few more months and then have Michelle Obama enter the race at the last minute. She would be a formidable candidate.

The DNC calculus for who is the best candidate is evolving. If trump is impeached, then Biden is no longer the best candidate against Pence. Pete would be the best candidate in that case.
