Donald Trump got "rolled" by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a National Security Council source with direct knowledge of the discussions told Newsweek. In a scheduled phone call on Sunday afternoon between President Trump and President Erdogan, Trump said he would withdraw U.S. forces from northern Syria. The phone call was scheduled after Turkey announced it was planning to invade Syria, and hours after Erdogan reinforced his army units at the Syrian-Turkish border and issued his strongest threat to launch a military incursion, according to the National Security Council official to whom Newsweek spoke on condition of anonymity. The U.S. withdrawal plays into the hands of the Islamic State group, Damascus and Moscow, and the announcement left Trump's own Defense Department "completely stunned," said Pentagon officials. Turkey, like the United States, wants regime change in Syria. Russia and Iran support the Assad regime. "President Trump was definitely out-negotiated and only endorsed the troop withdraw to make it look like we are getting something - but we are not getting something," the National Security Council source told Newsweek. "The U.S. national security has entered a state of increased danger for decades to come because the president has no spine and that's the bottom line." ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti Edited: 10/08/2019 at 03:40 PM by RustyTruck |

Who would have thought. Being spineless is a trait they adore in a politician. Looks like a landslide in 2020. He can't possibly win a popular vote, but with the help of his foreign agents he might pull off an EC win, but no one in the world will take the United States seriously with him tweeting crazy stupid shit daily and pussing out when he's challenged. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

They like the EC when it allows their favorite unpopular Daddy figure to win when losing.
I do think even an EC win needs some Indies. I don't think the 38% magabots are quite enough. I'd love to see him lose by the thinnest margin and try to nullify the election. Then things will get interesting. If he wins, we'll probably have the economic recession in parallel with the progressive deterioration of the US influence in the world, and when Don the Con goes home, China will be the premier world power. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

Electoral college is all you need, but of course you knew that or your whining would be health related, not mental No, you still need the right people to vote in the right states and as of now, Trump is faring more than poor in the places that matter. Normal Americans know this guy is off his rocker and will vote accordingly....if he is still president in 2020. ------------------------- I was right. |
