there have benn murmerings of a secret navy seal operation sent in to stop the beheading. however, apparantly, it failed. like bin laden's, everything was supposedly hush, hush. i have no proof either way. nor would the navy want a failed operation to go public.
after watching a beheading, golf might be good therapy. i'd go surfing. the truth is, we don't know what the truth is. we don't know what's in the works. hopefully not plans for another war, with no exit stragedy.
any journalist that goes into a war zone might get captured and killed. they go anyway. can everyone of them be saved from their own choices? none of this is anything new. every administration has to deal with something. obama has to deal with isis.
the simple math is, fewer americans have died under the obama administration, than under the previous one.
