Certainly taking over after a very successful coach can be a two edged sword.
If the new coach inherits a well stocked team and at least keeps the program competitive, the can be assured of (typically) a 3-5 year grace period. However, if they are not competitive or once the new coach reaches the point were it is "his" players on the field ..... the leash can get very short. ------------------------- "Most people would die sooner than think; in fact, they do." - Bertrand Russell "Morality is doing what is right, regardless of what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right. If I do not answer you .... nothing personal, I just have you on ignore. |
