Another alternative - I don't mothball mine. I take it out and run it for about 10 minutes the first weekend of every month. (Same with my boat if I haven't had it out). (By doing it and a few other things, like car fluids, A/C maintenance, etc, the first weekend of the month, I never forget.) I run the carbs dry each time to avoid any "varnishing" in the jets.
