I can imagine an exhibit of this sort in California, maybe the Laguna Art Museum. Certainly a natural history museum or science center could do an interesting exhibit on waves. Maybe with a wave tank or a mini-Slater pool? An art museum in Massachusetts did an exhibit "Hurricane Waves" by Clifford Ross, an apparently admired photographer but not someone who seems to much appreciate waves, except as scary. I suspect that 3x4 prints of these images might be more impressive. Samples. Today's serious and sometimes commercially successful in-the-water wave photographers seem not to have made the cut as Serious Artists, or are too accessible, or just haven't gotten attention in the art world. Anyone know a museum or other exhibit space that might be interested in something like a Russell Ord show? Edited: 04/02/2016 at 08:55 PM by ww |
