Thats the nose from an oceanside longboard, cut off to make a short board from the rest, or from a broken board.
When the short board revolution came in 67-68, we sacrificed some priceless longboards to be hip and make shortboards. There werent any smaller blanks yet. I did the same thing to my brothers 9'6" con. Made a body board from the nose. Real "paipo" boards were quite different, look em up.
