The first time was way sketchy. The BOP (bureau of Prisons) did not even specify whether Epstein inflicted his wounds or if it was another inmate. Same thing happened to Whitey Bulger. However, it is very strange that Friday night, some court documents of sworn testimony were unsealed, outing some prominent Democrats like former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson and former Senate majority leader George J. Mitchell as customers of Epstein's, then he doesn't live another 24 hours.

I would be interested in hearing how they think he would have hung himself when it sounds like everything in those rooms is made of paper to prevent this kind of thing. In the weeks leading up to his death, reports said that Epstein was meeting with his attorneys 12+ hours a day. That doesn't sound like someone who had given up. What really doesn't make any sense is why video wouldn't be able to very quickly and easily tell us what happened with the guards or with Epstein. The guy was on suicide watch for God's sake.

Maybe it will come out in time but there should be video footage of what happened that night. Hell, nothing happens in my office that isn't under surveillance. Why wouldn't they have video surveillance in the same jail they held El Chapo in?

In the last case against him, he received something like a 14-month sentence where he was allowed to leave jail from 8am to 5pm or something. Epstein has access to the best lawyers in the country. Unless there are details that we are not aware of, it seems like his first go-around would have made him cocky, not completely defeated. If he were going to do something like this, I would think he would do it when the case or trial was further along and he had some idea of what he was up against.
