I'll vouch for this. A copy of the story was pinned up in a workshop I used to visit. I think the guy was busted over in viera or suntree. The FK'ing freak duct taped the cat to the steering wheel and was caught sodomizing the critter. Poor cat, must of hurt like hell when they pulled that duct tape off. Relative shoots costumed girl after mistaking her for a skunk A little girl was fighting for her life early Monday after she was shot outside a Halloween party by a relative who mistook her costume for a skunk. Police in western Pennsylvania's New Sewickley Township said the 9-year-old girl was dressed in black with a black hat for the Saturday evening party. As the two to three dozen guests milled about, the girl went to hide on the edge of a hill. It was past 8 p.m. and the sun had long set. A relative spotted the dark figure in the distance, mistook it for a skunk and fired his shotgun, said Officer Greg Carney with the township police. The girl was hit in the neck, back and arm - and flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, about 30 miles away. There, she remained in the intensive care unit, Carney said. Police will determine later Monday whether they will charge the shooter, whom they did not name. Nor did they say how he was related to the girl. Kinda late there, beavis. How about this - just in from TitleTown....."Paralyzed U.S. Army veteran Daniel Priotti has worn a uniform to celebrate Halloween for years with no problem.
But trouble struck -- at the hands of a Marine veteran in a pink tutu -- early Thursday morning at the Pita Pit restaurant at 1702 W. University Ave.
"I was in line waiting for food, and the next thing I know I'm holding my jaw because it hurt. My jaw and neck are still hurting," Priotti said Thursday afternoon. "I'm totally shocked that somebody would just come up to me and knock me out. The guy is an idiot. It is unbecoming of a Marine."
The guy to whom Priotti referred is Christopher Dabney, who police say took offense at what Priotti was wearing - a uniform while in a wheelchair - and attacked Priotti in the restaurant at about 2:20 a.m."......

There was another story about a living headless frog, they could only guess that it was a lawnmower accident and there was enough of a brain stem to allow the frog to get around. I think it was put into a shoebox to be turned over to a biologist and it somehow turned up missing. |

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --
(AP) A man in Florida apparently got a dose of road rage karma when police say he was run over by his own pickup truck after getting out to bang on another driver's window. It happened Tuesday evening in Gainesville, Florida. The Gainesville Sun (http://bit.ly/1rDishr) reports 48-year-old Joseph Carl had been drinking and drove into a vehicle stopped at a red light. He got out of his truck without putting it in park and began banging on the window of a woman's car. When the frightened woman drove away, there was nothing holding his truck in place. The truck rolled into Carl. A police report says he was taken to the hospital where he was treated for fractures in his hand and foot. He's charged with DUI and DUI property damage. Here's a brief list of advice for any aspiring valets out there: 1) Remember where you put the keys; 2) Thank anyone who gives you a tip; and 3) Don't take a $400,000 Italian sports car for a joyride, and then have it set ablaze. A valet in Miami Beach didn't follow one of those pieces advice and now is facing the consequences. The unlucky - and as yet unnamed - valet was handed the keys to a bright red $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador and decided it would be a good idea to take it for a drive around the swanky Lincoln Road area. Unfortunately for the valet, the Lamborghini's 720-horsepower engine is so powerful and creates so much heat that it needs more airflow than an inner-city drive can provide. After over-revving the engine, flames began to shoot out of the rear exhaust and quickly turned the shiny red paint into more of a burnt umber. Onlookers quickly helped put out the flames, but the damage was done, and the car - which normally tops out at 217 mph, had to be pushed from the scene. My Tequesta neighbors were attacked and killed as they hung out in their driveway last night. Brutal stabbing and blunt force attack of husband and wife. 19 y/o man was biting chunks of flesh off the face of the male victim, had severely stabbed another neighbor that tried to help, fought off three deputies, a k-9, and was not phased by repeated tasering. Was still making animal like grunts hours after the incident.

Florida simply cannot be beat for weird and macabre. It's a shame, because it has a lot to offer and is beautiful. But somehow it became a magnet for the most deranged among the American population. Not sure why. I try to avoid it these days, but some family member inevitably plans a cruise or beach vacation each year and I find myself there again (twice this summer). Each time I am treated to something incredibly weird and disturbing. Plus, there's the smell of mildew that seems to permeate everything. Is it a popular air freshener there? And what's really odd is that I think there's a Floridian dress code that says the middle-aged men must (even though it's always warm) have a cheesy mustache and a Ford or Chevy van. It's because Florida exists that I'm burning as much coal as I can in the back yard to speed up global warming. I suppose that Florida is simply evidence of God's sense of humor, including the fact that it's shaped like.... well, you know. ------------------------- See you all next summer. Authorities say a homeless woman led them to a decomposed body after she was seen walking down the street with a human skull on a stick. The partner, Justin Calhoun, 24, of Tampa, Florida, is being held without bail and is charged with second-degree murder after admitting to the attack, according to a police report. Here's mine: "Florida man uses fake ID, steals $41K in dental implants, $10K for French bulldog." Because if I have 51 grand in ill-gotten gains lying around, I'm headed straight for the dentist - maybe stopping off at the pet store on the way. We're tempted to say this type of thing happens only in Florida. That's why "Florida Man" is a thing, right? Well, yes and no. Florida definitely has more than its share of oddballs, bumbling would-be criminals and drunken buffoons. But I hail from Pennsylvania, and let me tell you, the Keystone State is no slouch in this regard. So why is "Florida Man" a thing, but "Pennsylvania Man" isn't? Three words: public records laws. Read more commentary: Trump blocked me on Twitter. I sued (and won) because modern town halls happen online. Drug overdoses go viral: Social media videos exploit personal tragedy, trauma for 'likes' Florida has one of the most robust public records laws in the nation. Documents, photos, even videos created by a public agency are readily available - with some notable exceptions (and here I'm thinking of the video of New England Patriots' owner Robert Kraft in that massage parlor). Police agencies routinely make all this available to the news media. I was added to the distribution list for one local police agency without even asking to be; now I get daily arrest reports via email. Why there isn't a 'Pennsylvania Man' Let me tell you how this process often worked in Pennsylvania. Reporter: Officer, can I get a copy of the arrest report? Officer: No. Well, OK, it wasn't quite that blatant. But Pennsylvania's open records laws permit law enforcement to withhold information if it's considered a record of a criminal investigation. And that was often the rationale: We can't give you the arrest report because ... it's part of the investigation. Some agencies - and here I'm looking at you, City of Lancaster Police Department - took it to ridiculous extremes. On a typical Saturday night, this is how it worked. Editor: Did you get anything from the city? Reporter: They said the printer was down. Editor: Can't they email the arrest reports? Reporter: They said there's a problem with the computers. Whether police didn't want to give us the info or it was just too much of a bother, I never knew. Sometimes we did get reports, but no one in the newsroom knew how much was being released, what was being withheld and why. I knew some cops who said arrest reports could be withheld for a variety of reasons - the mood of the desk sergeant, even the perception that the accused might be embarrassed if the report got out. Other agencies did provide arrest reports. Usually. And in almost all cases, if the cops wanted you to have the report - if it made them look good, if it was a big enough case - you'd get it. But bottom line, Pennsylvania's open records laws were and are pathetic. And that's just the way it is. 'Florida Man' is uniquely ... Floridian When I came to Florida and realized what journalists could get, I was astonished. You mean, law enforcement provides you with this info as a matter of course, without complaining or throwing roadblocks in your way or claiming it's crucial info in an investigation? Yep. And this, more than any other reason, is why "Florida Man" exists. It feeds on itself: The Florida media get the info and run the stories. The stories get noticed, they feed the "Florida Man" narrative, so we're on the lookout for ever-more Florida Man stories. Our public records laws being what they are, there's always more grist for the mill. It's funny, but it's not always funny. Mental illness surely plays a role in some Florida Man stories. And there's a clear class aspect to it: We're laughing at working-class travails, basically. So there's reason to take the Florida Man phenomenon with a grain or three of salt. Then again, on Feb. 25 came what could be my favorite recent Florida Man story, out of Palm Beach County: "Florida Man Steals $33,000 Worth of Rare Coins, Cashes Them in CoinStar Machine for $29.30." Cops responding to a 1:45 AM disturbance at a residence in Sebastian encountered Pamela Alonge, who apologized for arguing loudly with her boyfriend in the home's backyard. When asked multiple times to identify himself, the boyfriend refused and was "being evasive and argumentative with officers at the scene," according to an arrest affidavit. After cops handcuffed the man, they took one more shot at extracting a name from him. "At which time he said his name was 'Captain Dickhead,'" an officer reported.

Two off-duty Hernando deputies arrived at a Wildwood home looking to purchase a pair of personal watercraft, according to the Daily Commercial. Jones met the two men and drew a gun on them, the Daily Commercial reported. Both men pulled their firearms and identified themselves as deputies, which led to Jones firing, according to the report.
