Here is the link...  ALL PROCEEDS GO TO MATT BELLINA!!!

http://www.payitsquare.com/collect-page/46096" target="_blank">Matt Bellina Golf Tournament Registration and / or Donations

This will be set up as a FUN event with the focus being exclusively to support Matt Bellina, so even if you're not a "golfer" it will be a great time on and off the course with food, drinks, entertainment, prizes, raffles, etc.

The field is limited to 144 players and will not be marketed outside of 2ndlight until September 19, so sign up early and put it on the calendar.

Matt and his family sincerely appreciate all of the good karma he's received through 2ndlight... it gives him strength mentally and physically to keep fighting on his road to recovery after the tragic accident on May 26, 2014.  Matt is working very hard every day to improve and plans to be in attendance for the golf tournament and after party... Woot woot!!

Please feel free to send me any questions and more good karma to Matt... see you on the tee at Cocoa Beach Country Club on October 11th @ 1:00pm!

Thank you CERTON for making this happen.  My wife is going to sign up for golf.  I don't play so she is stoked to get to play.  I'll do any labor work you need before, during and after.

It worked on mine - LGG2. I'd be happy to help organize - I don't golf, but will have the time after the 16th (work stuff)

I just got back to the good ol USofA in time for our friend Eduoard to start showing up in my backyard woot woot and wanted to remind all 2ndlighters we will be going ballistic with marketing efforts starting this Friday to make this Matt Bellina benefit a huge success for him.  I feel it's important to help Matt on his road to getting back in the water with the rest of us and after talking with him he has the attitude and drive to make it happen with the right resources to support it and that's where we ALL come in with our time, money, and effort.

HUGE THANKS to the teams that have signed up for the golf tournament at Cocoa Beach CC and all of you who have donated already...  here are a few links for anyone interested and we already have 3 GOLD SPONSORS (1 LEFT)!!!

Yes the the Matt Bellina Benefit Golf Tournament is fast approaching.

Both Burry and myself have been practicing regularly and vigorously with a
couple secret pros we hired for instruction and training.

Burry has been able to land on the green in one shot and I've been getting on the green in two shots.
For 18 holes, I doubt our individual scores will be more than ... 36.
OK, 39 if we slice one or two.
We don't see any problem.

Burry gave up lunch for two days to be able to practice more.
(ok, you know that's a lie, but his wonderful wife did pack a to-go lunch for the course)

As I stated, be aware we have been taking instruction and advice from a couple of local secret pros,
so WE KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING and are almost ready.

We also have Central Floridave in our foursome who doesn't need to practice
as he golfs regularly about every 6 years

Our "fourth" we are keeping hidden so others might think they have a chance.

Don't be scared, go ahead and register. You might get lucky.

Here's one of our pros showing proper form....
... and how to land on the green in two.

See the rest of you at the 19th hole.

If you click on the link, you or your company can sponsor a hole for $100. I think the Women of the Waves will sponsor one. Ask your company if they would sponsor one.

SunriseSurfer has also provided me with the artwork for his "Friends of Matt B." design (thank you Dan!) and we'll be making t-shirts to match the stickers.  These will be available at the golf tournament as well.

THANK YOU again to EVERYONE for your support there are a lot of sponsors, players registered, and even more generous donations from people who can't attend the event.  Matt is progressing well and needs our help to continue his accelerated path toward full mobility and living the life many take for granted every day.

Take time to visit with Matt and his family in person at their home in Cocoa Beach...  You will understand why this community cares so much about him.

People are asking how they can help out with the tournament if they want to come but don't want to play golf...  there are two main things you can do:

1. Spread the word (distribute the flyer and sponsorship form, share the event facebook page, or just tell people you know)

2. You can also volunteer at the event, but we need to know in advance

The deadline for tournament player registration is October 5, so get on it.

P.S.  If you get a chance to visit Matt ask him about the "NINJA MISSIONS".

We have a solid field of players for the tournament with only three more team spots available, so I've extended the deadline to register and pay until this Wednesday.

Note: Matt B. donations and after party purchase will still be available up until the event.

Matt is making great progress in his recovery and it's nice to see so many people come together in support of him continuing the treatments that are helping him regain basic mobility and motor control in an effort to live a normal life again.

This will be one of those 2ndlight events where you were either there or you weren't and I truly believe Matt will make a full recovery.  I'm lucky to have gotten to know him and for everyone attending, you will get the opportunity to meet the man in person along with many of the 'Friends of Matt B.' and other notable 'characters' here on 2ndlight... See you soon.

Yes you can in fact it's encouraged.  We'll even make a special trophy for whoever wins closest to the tee with their own ball after a full swing.  And we'll coin the phrase, "You really Burry'd that one" for whenever someone else mimics you

LOL. I made some swings yesterday. This is gonna be interesting. Luckily the person that lent me the clubs included a telescope ball retriever for when you hit into the water hazard. I think that will be the club I use the most!

Thank You to all the Sponsors.

Burry and I were going on the Senior Tour next week,

I may not be a great surfer....
...but I'm a hell of a better surfer than I am a golfer!!

I also found out why they call it GOLF ! !

... and this guy knows how to hit !!

Hey....look at who sponsored that hole

ps.... Central Floridave is turning PRO.
The Country Club is hiring & paying him as a paid golfer to replace all those DIVOTS (and mine too) It will be a full time JOB.

My goal when we started was $10k net profit going directly to Matt and his family.

We're in the process of finalizing the total and we already know it will be more than $10,000!

Thank you to everyone... It was cool to see Matt's family come together along with all of his friends and I know he's going to make a full recovery.  Shari told me his wrists started firing when he woke up the next day.

Hey everyone-- Matt's sister here.  Just wanted to stop in and THANK everyone who came out to support Matt on Saturday- Whether you donated, golfed, worked, ate... (or many of you did all of the above!!) We appreciate you more than we could ever express here with words on a forum-

We have a family friend, Makayla Wheeler, who made a wonderful short video for us --  Here is the link:  http://youtu.be/3FZkmIYlBh0 .  If that link doesn't work you can see it on her Facebook page (MGW Productions-- "like" it while you're there!).  I'd also like to give her credit for the family photo she took (shown on this page)!  Many of you will be in the video, so share away, if you'd like.

You guys/gals are all wonderful and we are such a blessed family to have each and every one of you in our lives.  We don't know the total of donations yet, but the most important thing (to me) is having everyone come together with smiles and laughs to help heal the soul.  Happiness heals!! (I know... that was pretty cheesy-- BUT TRUE!) :-)  Seeing the grin on Matt's face all day was what it's all about.

So.... THANKS.... a million times.... THANKS.  ~Holly
