So I have a nice 6ft plumeria in a clay pot in front of my house. About 4 years ago I went and planted a pineapple top in the same pot. It was supposed to be temporary while the pineapple rooted but fast forward 4 years and I forgot about it. I now have a nice size pineapple growing but the roots of both plants are grown together. Over the years the plumeria has shed many leaves down into the pot, I recently cleaned a bunch of dried rotted leaves away from the base of the plant and the pineapple plant. It is my understanding that plumeria plants are poisonous especially the leaves. Given its location do you think the pineapple would be safe to eat?
