from John Savercool UBS Financial Services Issues "Taxing Financial Products. Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR), the lead Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, is proposing a new tax regime for derivatives. Under his proposal, a single set of rules for derivatives would be established through the application of ordinary income tax rates to an annual "mark to market" recognition of gains. The proposal is a work in progress, and its introduction is designed to provoke input from impacted parties. While the bill won't advance this year, Senator Wyden is in a strong position to push this issue as part of broader tax reform legislation in the coming years, especially if he becomes chairman of the committee in a possible Democratic takeover in the fall." Hey 3rd, This is a follow up for issues you raised in another thread....... ------------------------- So if you are a surfer I wish you the prosperity that allows you more time to pursue the salt water dream, and the true happiness that comes from warm water, clean waves and the companionship of your fellow surfers. If you are an internet troll just spewing bs then f off. |
