Got the call from Capt. Bob On Monday. The summer season in NIRL and Mosquito are over. The bait has moved out. (mullet run)

I have never fished the Port Orange area.

Usual routine up at Odark thirty. Got a friend of mine to go . This is a guy who lives in my hood. He would jog by and see me out working on my boat. Saying that he had never been fishing and wanted to go.

We go off the Causeway ramp. Good ramps, easy access.

Out to the residential docks. We go over to a restaurant, just under the bridge. Docks.
We have the palm sized croakers, fresh and lively.

First cast I get a 31 incher. Sailfish are my absolute favorite sportfish. Snook are close behind. My friend whose initials are GD, then gets his first fish, a beautiful 27" linesider. ( some of you may know "GD".

We are 15 minutes off the ramp, and we are stoked.

Bob likes to cover lots of water

We spend the next 3-4 hours going from spot to spot. Yep, plenty of break offs. We get around 15 snook in all. Largest was 34". Mixed in a couple of very nice sized and beautifully colored jacks. Saw some tarpon. Another great day.

So if you are a surfer I wish you the prosperity that allows you more time to pursue the salt water dream, and the true happiness that comes from warm water, clean waves and the companionship of your fellow surfers. If you are an internet troll just spewing bs then f off.
