You would have to equip it like a car to get it street legal. Tags, belts, signals , mirors, etc.

That's too bad. all that kind of takes the fun away. Town's that I've lived in that do allow golf carts, such as NSB, must have a special allowance/designation for golf carts or what some call neighborhood electric vehicles.

I ride mine on the sidewalk that way it doesn't have to be registered as a motor vehicle. If you get pulled over reference the nearest golf course within 5 miles and tell them you have lost your way looking for a lost ball. 

No seriously you’re ok in it unless you plan to ride it down a city road where speed limit is over 30 miles per hour
